OMG. I don’t even know what to say. Probably the best thing to happen since ABC Family decided to run “Aladdin” back-to-back last night…
At a panel at the New Yorker Festival featuring a conversation with the cast of the much loved and missed television series “Arrested Development,” the show’s creator, Mitch Hurwitz, provided updated information on a pending movie. He said there are plans to create a “limited” television series with nine or so episodes individually devoted to each of the main characters that will get audiences up to speed on where they’ve been the last few years. This will then reassemble the Bluth family for a movie that Mr. Hurwitz said will shoot, hopefully, next summer. He didn’t say how the episodes would be distributed.
“It requires studios to work together that don’t normally work together. There’s business to be done, but creatively we are all on board,” said Mr. Hurwitz.
The cast members—some of whom, like Michael Cera and Jason Bateman, have become particularly famous since the show’s end—said that they have penciled it into their schedules.
“I think I have something next year,” joked Mr. Cera, referring to his Hollywood stardom, that he might be too busy.
I’m literally pissing my never-nudes right now. CAN’T WAIT.
