R.I.P Heavy D

I was literally speechless when I heard about Heavy D passing away last night at 44. Not MJ speechless, but close to Aaliyah speechless. My first cassette tape ever was Heavy D and the Boys “Now that we found love” .. granted I may or may not have stolen it from my sister (as she claims), but as far as I’m concerned, it was mine. I couldn’t tell you how many times I had pressed rewind on the boombox with that tape inside. Who would’ve known that his last performance ever would’ve been this past month at the BET awards. RIP Heavy D, you will be missed. Cue the playlist.
